One top aide to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gone public with his own theory as to what he believes is causing President Donald Trump’s alleged “dementia” symptoms and chronically swollen cankles, and he believes it could be “likely shortening his lifespan.”
Dr. Aseem Malhotra has served as an advisor for the Make America Healthy Again movement and is now moving into a position as chief medical and scientific adviser for the Make Europe Healthy Again organization.
As Malhorta prepares to move into his new role, he apparently shared his thoughts and concerns regarding the US president’s health and well-being with the Trump Administration, according to new reporting from The Daily Beast.
Dr. Malhorta is slated to speak at the European Parliament and, according to reporting from The Beast, is expected to tell the group “that he believes Trump’s health issues stem from his use of cholesterol-lowering medication called statins, and aspirin.”
Malhotra has a long-standing history of highly controversial takes, including his rampant and unhinged stance against the COVID-19 vaccine, along with a long-running smear campaign against the use of statins and their alleged dangers. The doctor’s unhinged opinions unsurprisingly grabbed the attention of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. back in 2022, and the pair have apparently been close personal and professional pals ever since.
True medical experts have viciously discredited and disputed Malhorta’s claims, with the British Heart Foundation going so far as to publicly call his views “misleading and wrong.”
According to reporting, Malhorta is expected to remark during a livestream:
In my view President Trump is a remarkable man, almost superhuman to do one of the hardest jobs in the world at his age, but if I was his personal physician I’d want to optimize him even further, and the first step would be to stop his aspirin and the cholesterol lowering medications he’s taking that are likely shortening his lifespan and giving him fatigue.”
He will reportedly argue that Trump’s “brain fog” would disappear in a matter of weeks if he discontinued his use of statins. Apparently, Malhorta is so deeply concerned about the president’s health, safety, and well-being that he has gone so far as to send private messages to multiple people in Donald Trump’s inner circle.
