Tech billionaire, Trump jockey, and head of the unelected Department of Governement Efficiency under the Trump Administration, Elon Musk, seems to have his feelings hurt after a Wall Street Journalist reporter uncovered a series of disgustingly racist past tweets made by one of the Tesla CEO’s DOGE employees and now he wants her fired for it.
Wall Street Journal’s Katherine Long published a piece yesterday, revealing that a “key DOGE staff member who gained access to the Treasury Department’s central payments system resigned Thursday after he was linked to a deleted social media account that advocated racism and eugenics.”
Long’s extensive report reads:
Marko Elez, a 25-year-old who is part of a cadre of Elon Musk lieutenants deployed by the Department of Government Efficiency to scrutinize federal spending, resigned after The Wall Street Journal asked the White House about his connection to the account.
‘Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool,’ the account posted in July, according to the Journal’s review of archived posts.
‘You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity,’ the account wrote on X in September. ‘Normalize Indian hate,’ the account wrote the same month, in reference to a post noting the prevalence of people from India in Silicon Valley.
After the Journal inquired about the account, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that Elez had resigned from his role.”
Now that Elez is no longer in his position at DOGE, Musk is pitching a full-blown hissy fit, demanding that Long be punished and fired for exposing his now-former employee’s disgusting racism.
Elon took to X (formerly known as Twitter) with a reply to a tweet that accused Long of having “pushed for wokeness,” pointing out that she had once authored a piece that featured the headline, “The Videogame Industry Still Needs to Reckon with Its Lack of Diversity.”
In his reply, the Tesla billionaire wrote, “She’s a disgusting and cruel person.”

Musk’s tantrum didn’t stop there, though. Right-wing influencer Mario Nawfal made a post stating that “WOKE JOURNALIST KATHERINE LONG WHO DOXXED DOGE STAFFER HAS TIES TO USAID.” Elon replied to that post with the declaration, “She should be fired immediately.”

Given that Musk has openly declared himself as a “free speech absolutist,” the irony of him calling for the termination of a journalist who accurately reported on a public official’s actions was not lost on many people, including Andrew Fleischman, who joked in a post on Elon’s social media platform, “‘I’m a free speech absolutist who thinks reporters should be fired for discovering unflattering information about public officials.'”
