The MAGA crowd is apparently learning the hard way that Donald J. Trump doesn’t actually give a damn about them.
Tech billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been wreaking havoc throughout the US government since the moment Donald Trump returned to office last month and the very same people who voted for Trump in November are already personally feeling those ill effects as Musk slashes funding and hands out pink slips to government workers left and right — leaving them high, dry, and jobless.
The situation has apparently grown so dire, so quickly, that it’s prompted a MAGA actor to step up and attempt to use his voice and platform to beg the president to pull back on Musk’s reins.
Zachary Levi, who became famous for his lead role in the acclaimed superhero film “Shazam!” and went on to play the voice of Flynn Rider in Disney’s “Tangled,” recently made an appearance on Fox News with Jesse Watters, where he called Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency initiatives “complicated” and admitted that it’s causing a lot of suffering and uncertainty for people who, in his opinion, don’t deserve it because they voted for Trump.
“Like there are a lot of people that are very afraid right now because there are truly good working people that work for the government, that are getting lost in the cracks,” Levi said in the recent Fox segment. “And we have got to do something about that.”
“Please — Elon and all of your team and whatever needs to happen — please don’t let everybody fall through the cracks as we are doing what is necessary, which is to get in there and to like cut a cancer out, man,” the MAGA actor continued, making a direct plea to the president and the tech billionaire. “You know, sometimes they go in for cancer surgeries, doctors, and you lose some good healthy tissue along in that. They don’t want to do that, but it’s a part of like extracting that darkness out of there. And right now that’s what’s happening. But there are good people, people that voted for Donald Trump who are losing their job. And we got to make sure that we don’t leave those folks behind.”
The actor faced instant backlash among Americans for seemingly suggesting that only people who voted for Donald Trump deserved to keep their jobs and be protected from the mass Musk purge. That backlash ultimately prompted Levi to release a statement on social media, walking back that portion of his remarks: “I wasn’t pleading exclusively for Trump voters to keep their jobs. I was making a case for all Americans being lost in the shuffle, which you would understand if you listened to my earlier responses. I’m not fighting just for conservatives or MAGA or any other group of people, other than Americans. All of them.”
Hey Jul-Ju-B. I’m going to assume that you didn’t take the time to watch the full interview. That’s too bad, as it would’ve given you far better context to understand what I was saying.

Musk claims that DOGE’s purpose is to weed out financial waste, fraud, corruption, and abuse from from all US government agencies.
As part of those supposed “efforts,” Musk and his DOGE team of employees have gained unchecked access to a trove of highly sensitive taxpayer information and various critical government systems, all while slashing funding and jobs at every corner — yet, has yet to actually uncover an ounce of meaningful fraud. Instead, Musk seems to only be using the unelected agency to blatantly target entities that he personally doesn’t agree with.
