MSNBC is in the midst of a massive shakeup and Donald Trump can’t seem to shut up about it.
As part of its effort to turn its prime-time lineup on its head, the network recently made the rather controversial decision to cancel Joy Reid’s show.
As soon as Donald Trump caught wind of the news, he took to his Truth Social echo chamber with what we believe was supposed to be a celebratory post about the decision but, instead, seemed to quickly devolve into an unhinged, rage-fueled attack against Brian Roberts, the chairman of MSNBC parent company Comcast, as well as multiple on-air hosts, ultimately demanding “vast sums of money” from the network to atone for their “UNPARDONABLE SIN.”
Taking to his social media platform in the late hours of last night, Donald Trump fumed, “Lowlife Chairman of ‘Concast,’ Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been ‘canned’ long ago, along with everyone else who works there.”
Telecommunications giant Comcast made an announcement back in October, confirming that it would spin off MSNBC, CNBC, and multiple other media properties they owned into a separate public company — one that none other than Trump sycophant billionaire Elon Musk has publicly flirted with the idea of purchasing himself.
Donald Trump’s rage-filled Truth Social tantrum continued, “Also thrown out was Alex Wagner, the sub on the seriously failing Rachel Maddow show. Rachel rarely shows up because she knows there’s nobody watching, and she also knows that she’s got less television persona than virtually anyone on television except, perhaps, Joy Reid.”
“Then there’s, of course, the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who has, perhaps, the lowest TV ratings in the history of television,” Trump goes on to write. “What is he doing to Brian Roberts to stay on the air? This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party. They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they’ve done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!”
