Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s top spokesman has formally resigned from the position, “effective immediately,” just two short weeks after he first took the job.
The sudden development was first reported on by Politico.
Thomas Corry was no stranger to MAGA politics, as he served in Donald Trump’s first presidential administration as senior adviser and communications director at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Just two weeks ago, he was formally sworn in as the Health and Human Services’ assistant secretary for public affairs. At the time of his swearing in, Corry released a statement saying that he was “thankful that I’ll be part of the team that is going to work to make America healthy again, and on making healthcare more affordable and accessible.”
Now, just two short weeks later, Thomas Corry appears to be singing a much different tune.
Corry released a rather curt and tense statement on his LinkedIn page, formally announcing his resignation from the position as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s right-hand man. He noted that his resignation was effective immediately.
“I want to announce to my friends and colleagues that last Friday, I announced my resignation effective immediately,” Corry wrote in the sudden, unexplained, and particularly terse LinkedIn statement. “To my colleagues at HHS, I wish you the best and great success.”

Corry did not offer any reason or explanation for his sudden and seemingly tense departure from RFK Jr.’s HHS. Additionally, the Health and Human Services has failed to respond to any requests for comments on the matter at this time.
