As the US federal government is now in its 15th day of shutdown, with absolutely no conceivable end in sight, a newly unearthed invite now shows that President Donald Trump is slated to host a $1 million per head fundraiser at his Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago luxury golf resort on what will be the 17th day of his ongoing shutdown, in the midst of this weekend’s nationwide “No Kings” protests.
Donald hasn’t graced his Mar-a-Lago club with his presence in several weeks. But the newly uncovered invitation that’s currently spreading like wildfire across social media shows that Trump will personally serve as a “special guest speaker” at Friday night’s “candlelight dinner” event, as millions of Americans struggle to keep their lights on and their children fed, and government employees continue to work without their pay.

A notice from the Federal Aviation Administration, in combination with reporting by the Palm Beach Daily News, a USA TODAY Network newspaper, formally confirmed that President Trump will be in Palm Beach from Friday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 19.
This will be Donald Trump’s 11th visit to his Mar-a-Lago resort — dubbed the “Southern White House” and the “Winter White House” during his first presidential term, due to how much time he spent there instead of the real White House — since taking office in January of this year.
Trump’s lavish and excessively pricey fundraiser also conveniently coincides with the “No Kings” anti-Trump protests that are slated to take place in cities across America this weekend. More than 80 of these protests are scheduled to take place in Florida, with some just right down the road from the president’s extravagant private resort.
