Trump Is Really Worked Up About Low-Flow Toilets, Washers, Showers, And Lightbulbs Again In Newest Round Of Bizarre Orders

It’s been less than a month since Donald Trump returned to the White House and he’s already pitching a fit about toilets and lightbulbs again.

President Joe Biden implemented several efficiency standards and environmental regulations during his time in office and Trump has made it his mission to roll those back in his latest round of truly bizarre executive orders — including his recent order that sought to roll back the Biden Admin’s efforts to phase out single-use plastic straws.

Just shortly after he returned to office last month, Trump signed an executive order that pledged to relax the efficiency standards for household appliances and fixtures that were put in place by his predecessor.

This morning, Donald took to his Truth Social echo chamber with a shouty caps post, in which he confirmed that he was instructing his new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administrator to enforce those new rules.

“I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders,” Trump wrote on Truth Social before he took a very intense stance against low-flow toilets and lightbulbs that he doesn’t like, “which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe. I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!”

Of course, this is far from the first time Trump has had bizarre and public beef with the low-flow toilets, as he’s ranted over the matter countless times, in countless rallies, speeches, and meetings over the years, claiming that people are forced to flush the toilet “10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once” and can’t even properly wash their hands water-efficient sinks.

Back in 2019, during his first term, Trump told business leaders at a meeting, “We have a situation where we’re looking very strongly at sinks and showers and other elements of bathrooms where you turn the faucet on – and in areas where there’s tremendous amounts of water, where the water rushes out to sea because you could never handle it, and you don’t get any water.”
