Every single time I find myself thinking that Trump’s bullsh*t couldn’t possibly get any weirder, he manages to fly in on a broomstick screeching, “Hold my beer!”
Late last night, the sitting president of the United States of America took to his Truth Social echo chamber with a not-so-humble brag for… You guessed it… Himself, all set to an iconic Dr. Dre song featuring Snoop Dogg.
In the clip, hailing from his first State of the Union address to Congress of his second presidential term back in March, Trump is standing at the podium, flanked by his Vice President J.D. Vance and Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, as he says, “The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying we needed new legislation – ‘we must have legislation to secure the border’ – but it turned out that all we really needed was a new president!”
Of course, Vance and Johnson instantly leap to their feet in administration, as the Republican crowd breaks out in applause, as an instrumental version of the Dr. Dre track “The Next Episode” plays over the clip, while the camera pans over Democratic lawmakers sitting in disgusted silence.
“The Next Episode” is an iconic and infamous track by world-renowned rapper and producer Dr. Dre and prominently features Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr.
Snoop Dogg and Donald Trump have a rather bizarre and convoluted history with each other. In the past, the infamous American rapper has made his disdain for the reality TV washup turned US president quite clear, going so far as to release a music video in 2017 that depicted a mock shooting of Donald Trump dressed as a clown. Throughout Trump’s first presidential term, Snoop Dog publicly referred to Donald as “a f*cking weirdo” and “racist.”
However, Snoop Dogg seemed to do a massive 180 with regard to his thoughts and feelings about Donald Trump, following Trump’s 2021 decision to bestow a formal presidential pardon on Michael Harris, the man who co-founded Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Records label and was jailed for alleged attempted murder.
Following Harris’ pardon, Snoop Dogg suddenly said that Trump “has done only great things for me” in 2024.
In 2025, Snoop Dogg appeared to descend the final mile down the Right-wing pipeline when he performed at a crypto-themed event that was directly connected to Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration. Fans and critics instantly lashed out against the popular rapper, branding him a “sellout.”
Snoop Dogg ultimately tucked tail a little in the wake of the severe backlash and criticism over his decision to perform at the event, responding, “I don’t represent the Republican Party, I don’t represent the Democratic Party, I represent the mother f*cking Gangsta Party.”
