Trump’s “Growing Inability To Form Thoughts” Is On Full Display As He Fails At Basic Math: Journalist

Trump recently publicly touted his big, new deal that his administration has secured with a British drugmaker that’s aimed at lowering drug costs for American citizens by up to “1000%,” in some cases, according to Donald Trump himself — a number that, of course, doesn’t even make any mathematical sense and, according to journalist Jason Easley, is just the latest example in a neverending run of examples of the US president’s “apparent growing inability to form thoughts.”

During his big announcement on the drug prices deal at the White House on Friday, Trump told Americans, “Now, drug prices are gonna be going down a 100%, 400%, 600%, 1,000% in some cases, but for one eighth of a cent. I was so proud because for 28 years nobody had done it.”

Writing on his news website, PoliticusUSA, Easley ripped Trump to absolute shreds, noting that the president’s unhinged claims are literally incompatible with “basic math.”

“It is impossible to lower the price of any good by more than 100%. It is basic math,” Easley scorched.

“Trump’s claim of reducing prices by 1,000% means that Americans will be getting paid by the drug companies ten times the value of the drug to take the medication. When put in those terms, the lunacy is apparent, but things were only starting to go off the rails.”

This is far from the first time Donald Trump has touted his nonsensical “1000%” figure. In fact, just last month, he brazenly claimed that, in some cases, drug prices for Americans would be reduced “by 1,000%” within a year’s time. That claim was immediately bolstered by by a White House spokesperson, who apparently also does not know how math works.

Economists wasted no time in ripping Trump’s claims apart, criticizing his big promises made on “fuzzy math.”

But for Easley, this isn’t just about the math at all. It’s about Trump’s obvious mental decline, to the point that he can’t even seem to string a coherent thought together, were his life to literally depend on it.

“The video can be easily glossed over, especially when someone has told as many lies and babbled as many words as Donald Trump has over the past decade, but transcripts of the words that the man actually puts together are more revealing,” he writes.

While his statements are viciously spot on, Easley is far from the only person to be calling attention to Donald Trump’s clearly altered mental state in recent weeks.

On Friday, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker made a genuine call to action to Donald Trump’s family and close friends, alleging that the president is suffering from severe apparent dementia and desperately needs help from those close to him to obtain mental health support.

“I genuinely think there is something wrong with him,” Pritzker said. “I wish that his family would intervene, because I do think he needs mental health help, and I don’t think anybody around him that works for him is going to do that, because they’re benefiting from his failure of mental health, his dementia. I wish somebody would help out the president of the United States.”

There’s no denying at this point that Donald’s rapidly declining cognizance is getting impossible to hide.
