It seems multiple MAGA customers have been left with empty wallets, naked wrists, and deeply offended sensibilities after they attempted to order one of Donald Trump’s overly pricey new watches, only to be left with a much lighter pocketbook and no watch in sight.
In case you missed it, the US president’s latest grift (something I never thought I’d have to say, prior to the era of Donald J. Trump) came in the form of luxury wrist watches.
Much like his Bibles and shoes, the new timepieces clock in at a staggering price, ranging from $499 to $2,999 per watch, or a whopping $5,389 if you decide to spring for the “Ultra Mega Collector Set.”
Commercials for Trump’s “fight, fight, fight” watch collection, that feature a shameless plug by the president himself, have been running virtually nonstop on the far-Right Newsmax channel for weeks now. A variety of different styles are offered, including “Fight Fight Fight Malachite,” the “Mugshot Suit Collectible,” and the “First Lady Mini” in “hot pink,” according to the official website, and orders are fulfilled by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC.
The Trump Watches commercials continue to run, even as the country moves into its 17th day of a federal government shutdown with no end in sight.
However, based on reviews of GetTrumpWatches on Trustpilot, where the company boasts an embarrassing 1.9-star overall rating, it won’t be long before Trump Watches go the way of Trump Steaks and Trump University — and by that, I mean, in the toilet, where they belong.
Multiple customers (whose authenticity can’t be independently confirmed) have taken to one of the world’s leading review sites to express their disappointment and fury with the president’s watch “scam” — all of whom are, of course, apparently MAGA voters and devout supporters of President Trump, otherwise, why in the hell would they be purchasing a Trump Watch in the first place?
The official website for Trump Watches offers buyers estimated shipping times, but does note that arrival times cannot be guaranteed, as it claims that each timepiece is made to order. However, it seems that many of the watches are not being made at all, as multiple customers complain that their orders simply never arrived, even months and months later, while many who did receive their watches noted that they’re riddled with mistakes and even blatant typos.
One buyer wrote, “My daughters ordered a Trump watch and after 5 months of waiting have not received anything. It’s a shame this company is not holding to President Trump’s high standards. This was a present for my 80th birthday!”
“No watch delivered. Dishonest and false customer service responses, both automated and probably live people,” wrote another, while a third said, “Should have known a failed businessman who scammed the country would also scam customers.”
And my personal favorite:
I plan to sue. This is a scam! On 30.01.25 I ordered a watch for 900$, at the time of ordering there was information that delivery will be in March. On 10.04 I contacted the support with a demand to cancel my order – I was refused. March is gone, April and May too. When I bought it was written that it was a limited collection of 250, now they just changed the name on the site but the watch remained the same – but already 500 pieces. This is my worst experience with online shopping. I suggest to post a review from this resource in your social networks, so that others would not suffer from these scammers.”
Timothy M. Reynolds warned, “DO NOT order anything from these people,” while another reviewer, L.S., wrote, “Took my money then nothing. It finally dawned on me I was scammed. AVOID ORDERING ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE.”
The apparent scam has reached such a level of controversy that it’s been picked up by the news, as a local outlet reported on a couple who forked out 600 smackaroos for an official Trump Watch, only for it to arrive featuring a deeply unfortunate (and hilarious) typo:
Maybe don’t buy anything from a literal conman, huh?
